2001 Chevrolet S-10:

The 2001 Chevrolet S-10 4WD Extended Cab Pickup Truck Overview: Chevrolet challenges the tough competition in the pickup truck category with three solid four-wheel drive models, each differing primarily in luxury and convenience items. Each of the 2001 Chevrolet S-10 4WD Extended Cab, Chevrolet S-10 LS 4WD Extended Cab, and Chevrolet S-10 4WD Crew Cab pick up trucks have a seating capacity of five passengers, with equally excellent performance capabilities at each model level.

At the head of the Chevrolet line up, the S-10 4WD Extended Cab offers us a six-cylinder engine with center of vee camshaft, sequential port fuel injection, and a very respectable 190 horsepower. Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with optional automatic transmission. The four-wheel on-demand drive means this truck will power through tough back roads and awful weather. The S-10’s towing capacity is 5000lbs, and the fuel economy rating is 17/23 (city/hwy).

Several options and packages are available in the entry-level model. You may choose from air conditioning, limited slip differential and sliding rear window as options, and packages include cruise/speed control and steering wheel scope/tilt. A convenient folding rear seat comes as a standard, as does a theft deterrent system so you can stop worrying when you’re not around.

Safety standards listed are ABS brakes, driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and front head restraints. The passenger side has been equipped with a passenger air bag cut-off capability.
Base list price: $19,321

Second in the line up is the Chevrolet S-10 LS 4WD Extended Cab, adding the options of front fog lights, limited slip differential, and sliding rear window. Packages range from cruise/speed control to keyless entry system, power door locks, dual power mirrors, and power windows. Standards include air conditioning, folding rear seat, theft deterrent system, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. Performance features remain identical to those of the previous model.
Base list price: $20,647

At the tail end is the highest model, the Chevrolet S-10 4WD Crew Cab, featuring four-speed automatic transmission and all the other performance, safety, and luxury factors of the previously outlined. Standard luxury upgrades include cruise/speed control, keyless entry system, power door locks, dual power mirrors, sliding rear window, and power windows. A folding rear seat is not included on this model.
Base list price: $24,909
