The exciting new 2001 Dodge Stratus
Sedan is favored for its superb steering and handling,
along with its smooth lines and attractive design. Two
models are offered this year, the Dodge Stratus SE and
the Dodge Stratus ES, each with four doors and a seating
capacity of five passengers, making it a serious contender
for those with varied driving needs, including excellent
performance in a sedan.
The Dodge Stratus line up is equipped
with a long list of luxuries and conveniences. Among
the standards are air conditioning, cruise/speed control,
and a convenient folding rear seat for creating more

and a DOHC combining to produce a very respectable 150
horsepower. Taking it up to the next level, the Stratus
ES model lies in wait with a powerful six-cylinder engine
and DOHC, creating a significant increase to 200 horsepower
for an enjoyable highway ride. Standard transmission
is four-speed automatic on both models, and drive type
is two-wheel front cruising along the streets on all-season
SBR tires.
Standard safety features on each
of the Dodge Stratus models include a driver depowered
air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and both front
and rear head restraints. ABS brakes and side impact
air bags are important options to consider adding to
the package. Front fog lights have been installed on
the Dodge Stratus ES for optimum visibility in adverse
conditions. Finally, with the prevention of mishaps
with youngsters in mind, every vehicle has been equipped
with child safety locks.
