Suzuki gears up
for 2001 with its new Esteem Sedan, offering economical vehicles
with good handling and plenty of features. Two models are
available this year, the Esteem GL and Esteem GLX, both with
four doors and a seating capacity of five passengers.
Under the hood,
each Esteem model is equipped with a four-cylinder engine
with DOHC, combining to produce 122 horsepower. Drive type
is two-wheel front, and standard transmission is five-speed
manual, with automatic transmission available as an option
on both.
Safety features
include driver side air bag, passenger side air bag, and both
front and rear head restraints. On the Esteem GLX, ABS brakes
are available as a package for increased control while performing
emergency braking procedures or while stopping on slippery
terrain.
As well, your dealer
can install front fog lights for optimum visibility on murky
nights and hazy early mornings. For the safety of youngsters,
all vehicles have child safety locks installed.
Luxuries are numerous
in the Suzuki Esteem, with such standards as air conditioning,
rear defroster, remote trunk/liftgate release, a convenient
folding rear seat for extra luggage, and an AM/FM stereo with
CD player for the enjoyment of all passengers.
The Esteem GLS
adds to the package a handy keyless entry system, power door
