The spiffy new VW Cabrio Sports Coupe is a blend of sophisticated practicality and rascally playfulness. Three models are offered this year, Cabrio GL, Cabrio GLS, and Cabrio GLX, each with two doors and a seating capacity of four passengers. All have that sporty top-downfun-in-the-sun convertible feature that so many driving enthusiasts enjoy.

Under the hood, the VW Cabrio sports a responsive four-cylinder engine with SOHC combining to produce 115 horsepower. Steering is tight, and acceleration is quick. Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with optional automatic transmission available. Each vehicle rolls along on all-season SBR tires, and drive type is two-wheel front.

Safety standards and options are generous, and range from ABS brakes to driver depowered air bag, passenger side air bag, side impact air bags, and both front and rear head restraints. Front fog lights are standard on the Cabrio GLX to light the way through misty nights and early mornings.

The VW Cabrio also comes with an arsenal of luxuries and options, ranging from air conditioning to a handy keyless entry system, power door locks, power windows, and dual power mirrors.
