2002 Audi A8 L:

The stylish and sophisticated new 2002 Audi A8 L Sedan cruises into the year with exceptional power and performance, coupled with brilliant luxury features and thorough safety standards. With a seating capacity of five passengers in a plush interior, this four-door sedan provides a smooth and quiet ride even when pushed to the limit.

Under the hood of the Audi A8 L Sedan is a 4.2-litre, aluminum eight-cylinder engine with DOHC, 40 valves, and variable intake valve timing and intake manifold combining to produce a blistering 302 lbs-ft of torque and 310 horsepower.

Standard transmission is five-speed automatic, and each vehicle is equipped with quattro four-wheel full-time drive, Torsen center differential, and electronic differential locks to tackle what lies ahead. The wheels are sixteen-inch cast alloy, with all-season tires. Seventeen- and eighteen-inch wheels are optional.

On the exterior, the Audi A8 L Sedan features heated dual power mirrors, heated power door locks, heated windshield washer nozzles, and high-pressure retractable headlight washers. Chrome beltline trim contributes to a smart appearance.

Jumping inside, the upholstery is beautiful leather that is accented by a leather hand brake lever and gearshift knob and genuine wood detailing. Passengers will be treated to dual automatic temperature control, heated front and rear seats, a power sunroof, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player and six-CD changer.

Other amenities in the Audi A8 L Sedan include power windows, power adjustable front seatbelts height, power tilt steering wheel, and fourteen-way power driver and front passenger seats with four memory positions, lumbar support, and power head restraints.

The list of conveniences continues with cruise control, Homelink transmitter, power rear window sunshade, rear window sunshades, easy-access remote trunk release button, and a luggage net. A theft deterrent system is included for extra peace of mind when you’re away from the vehicle.

In the safety department, the Audi A8 Sedan excels with standards such as ABS brakes, engine immobilizer, first aid kit in the rear center armrest, child safety locks, and tethers and anchors for child seats.

The list of basic safety features also lists a passenger depowered air bag, driver depowered air bag, side impact air bags in the front, and side head protection air bags. Rear seat side impact air bags are optional. Each seating position is equipped with a three-point seatbelt and head restraint. The center rear head restraint can be hidden from view when not in use.
