2002 Audi Allroad Quattro Wagon/SUV Overview:

The new 2002 Audi Allroad Quattro - is it a wagon or a sport utility vehicle? It pleasantly combines the best of both worlds, set little closer to the ground like a wagon but sporting a heftier build and loads of power like an SUV. All-around, it is a tremendously versatile vehicle, and is loaded to the max with comforts and conveniences to boot.

With a seating capacity of five passengers in a spacious and well-appointed interior, the Audi Allroad Quattro features puddle lights, heated power outside mirrors, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control. The list continues with a theft deterrent system, automatic dual zone temperature control, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player and eight speakers.

The interior sports leather seating, leather-wrapped hand brake lever and steering wheel, and polished wood details throughout cockpit. The driver and passenger seats are twelve-way power adjustable with lumbar support, and the rear seat splits and folds down to accommodate extra cargo.

Some of the handy little extras thrown in include a retractable rear luggage area partition net and luggage cover, a tool kit, and an expandable ski bag. Options range from a cell phone to heated front seats, Homelink transmitter, six-CD changer, and removable rear-facing children’s bench seat.

In the performance department, the Audi Allroad Quattro blasts through tough roads and foul weather conditions with four-wheel full-time drive backed by 250 horsepower and 258 lbs-ft of torque. It is powered by a 2.7-litre, DOHC, 30-valve, biturbo six-cylinder engine with electronic turbo boos regulation and direct ignition.

Each Audi Allroad Quattro is equipped with five-speed automatic transmission, although you may opt for six-speed manual transmission if you prefer. The fuel economy rating for the manual model is 16/21 mpg (city/hwy), while the automatic version is similar at 15/21 mpg (city/hwy). Wheels are seventeen-inch five-spoke cast alloy with high performance tires.

Finishing off with safety features, the Audi Allroad Quattro is bolstered by standards such as front and rear fog lights, ABS brakes, and three-point seatbelts and head restraints at every seating position. There are rear child safety locks, and both tethers and anchors for child seats.

The list continues with measures that include side head protections air bags, driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and side impact air bags in the front. You may choose to add rear seat side impact air bags as an option. A first aid kit is also conveniently stored in the rear seat armrest.
