2002 Ford Crown Victoria
The elegant new 2002 Ford Crown
Victoria slides into the new year with two sophisticated
yet powerful models - the Crown Victoria Sedan and the
Crown Victoria LX Sedan. Graced with a myriad of features
and benefits, these four-door sedans seat five passengers
with room to spare in a well-appointed interior.
Taking a look at the base model
Crown Victoria Sedan, we see that it is anything but
basic in every way. It is equipped with a mighty eight-cylinder,
SOHC powerhouse that erupts with 220 horsepower and
265 lbs-ft of torque.
Standard transmission is four-speed
automatic, while drive type is rear wheel. Each vehicle
is fitted with all-season SBR tires, and the fuel economy
rating is estimated at 17/25 (city/hwy).
The drive is exceptionally slick,
with superior acceleration while passing and merging,
and gentle absorption of road contours.
In the safety category, the Crown
Victoria is bolstered by a passenger depowered air bag,
driver depowered air bag, front head restraints, and
child safety locks for those with youngsters traveling
with them. ABS brakes are available as an option for
maximum control in emergencies and slippery road conditions.
Of course, the Ford Crown Victoria
surrounds its passengers in classy style and comfort
with such standards as air conditioning, power windows,
power door locks, and dual power outside mirrors.
Other features include cruise control,
a theft deterrent system, and optional AM/FM stereo
with CD player. A keyless entry system is also available
as an option.
The Ford Crown Victoria LX Sedan
takes the generous base package and adds ABS brakes
and optional traction control to the safety standards.
As for comforts and conveniences, we see bonuses such
as a keyless entry system and opulent leather upholstery.
The AM/FM stereo with CD player is optional on this
model as well.
