offers up four models for 2002, Explorer XLS, Explorer XLT,
Explorer Limited, and Explorer Eddie Bauer. Each model has
four doors and seats seven passengers comfortably.
Under the hood,
the Ford Explorer sports a six-cylinder engine, with SOHC
and 210 horsepower for optimum highway driving and aggressive
back road travels. Drive type is two-wheel rear, and the tires
are all-season SBR.
Safety features
include ABS brakes for negotiating emergency braking situations
and stopping on slippery terrain. Other measures range from
front and rear head restraints to driver depowered air bag,
passenger depowered air bag, and optional side impact air
bags. A rear wiper keeps the back window clear for maximum
visibility in all directions. For the prevention of mishaps
with youngsters, child safety locks have been installed.
The Ford Explorer
covers a full range of standard luxury features, including
air conditioning, cruise/speed control, power door locks,

the addition of front fog lights to its safety package. Packed
with all the performance, safety, and luxuries of the previous

impressive sport utility line up is the Explorer Eddie Bauer,
