2002 Ford Mustang Convertible

2002 Ford Mustang Convertible

2002 Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang has been around for ages, and has a dedicated following of nostalgic fans. With its attractive performance specifications and sporty exterior lines, it has become a classic. The new 2002 Ford Mustang Convertible continues this tradition with two models - the Mustang Convertible and Mustang GT Convertible.

With two doors and a seating capacity of four passengers, the Ford Mustang Convertible chalks up a lengthy list of features that includes cruise control, a convenient keyless entry system, power windows, power door locks, dual power mirrors, and a theft deterrent system.

Other standards such as air conditioning, and AM/FM stereo with CD player, and a retractable convertible roof add to the luxury. Fine leather upholstery is available as an option for sporty style and a touch of class.

Each Ford Mustang Convertible is equipped with a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and front head restraints. Optional ABS brakes are available for extra control and confidence in dicey situations.

At the center of the package is the six-cylinder engine with sequential port fuel injection system, center of vee camshaft, 190 horsepower, and 220 lbs-ft of torque. Every Ford Mustang Convertible is fitted with all-season performance SBR tires for a sporty, efficient ride.

Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with optional automatic transmission. The Mustang convertible has rear wheel drive, and the fuel economy rating is 19/29 (city/hwy).

The 2002 Ford Mustang GT Convertible cranks up performance with an impressive eight-cylinder engine with SOHC, 260 horsepower, and 302 lbs-ft of torque for an exceptional ride and superior acceleration. You can really feel the difference on open roads when overtaking other vehicles or merging into traffic.

The Mustang GT Convertible also adds ABS brakes, traction control, limited slip differential, and front fog lights as standards.
