2002 Hyundai Elantra GT:

The sophisticated new 2002 Hyundai Elantra GT Sedan has tremendous character and takes off where the entry-level Elantra left off. The features that stand out the most are in the luxury department, adding a variety of high-class features to what is already an excellent package.

The Hyundai Elantra GT Sedan packs an impressive list of amenities that includes air conditioning, power windows, dual power outside mirrors, and power door locks. Standards continue with a high-quality AM/FM stereo with CD player and six speakers, cruise control, and a convenient remote keyless entry system so you no longer have to fumble around for the right key.

Other luxuries include the opulent interior finish of fine leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather gearshift knob. The seating capacity is five passengers.

The exterior of the Hyundai Elantra GT Sedan is given a lift with black bodyside molding and a European front grille.

An array of safety standards list a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, head restraints, three-point seatbelts at every seating position, and child safety locks in the rear. Front fog lights illuminate the way through inclement weather conditions.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Elantra GT Sedan packs a 2.0-litre engine with DOHC, sixteen valves, multi-port fuel injection system, direct ignition, and an output of 140 horsepower and 133 lbs-ft of torque.

The Hyundai Elantra GT Sedan is also equipped with a fully independent suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and four-wheel power disc brakes. The fuel tank holds 14.5 gallons, and the fuel consumption rating is estimated at 25/33 mpg (city/hwy).

The standard transmission is five-speed manual, although four-speed automatic is available as an option. Each vehicle is fitted with all-season SBR tires and fifteen-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. Overall, the drive has no major flaws and is smooth and reactive to changes in driving demands.

Optional features for the 2002 Hyundai Elantra GT sedan include ABS brakes, traction control, and a moonroof for extra ambience inside the cabin. Considering everything that is jammed into this package, you are getting great value for your dollar.
