2002 Hyundai Sonata:

Filled to the brim with comforts and conveniences, the reasonably priced and elegant 2002 Hyundai Sonata offers three models that seat five passengers with plenty of elbowroom. Overall performance and handling are a pleasure, with a responsive drive and sensitivity to changing driving demands.

The entry-level four-door Hyundai Sonata Sedan sets safety standards high with such features as three-point seatbelts at all seating positions, a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and side impact air bags. Child safety locks have been installed in the rear seating area, and front fog lights ensure optimum visibility in foul weather conditions.

Among the Hyundai Sonata Sedan’s luxuries are air conditioning, cruise control, power door locks, power windows, and dual power outside mirrors. The list continues with an AM/FM stereo with CD player and six speakers, tilt steering column, center storage console, and a handy 60/40 split folding rear seat to accommodate excess luggage and cargo.

In the performance department, the Hyundai Sonata Sedan registers with a responsive 2.4-litre, sixteen-valve, dual overhead camshaft, four-cylinder engine which pumps out 149 horsepower. The standard transmission is five-speed manual, making the most of the engine’s acceleration capabilities. Four-speed automatic is available as an option.

Each Hyundai Sonata Sedan is fitted with fifteen-inch touring radial tires with full wheel covers. The fully independent suspension, plus front and rear stabilizer bars produce a smooth and peaceful ride with careful attention to firm cornering.
