2002 Mazda MPV
One of the most popular choices
amongst families and busy folks today is the 2002 Mazda
MPV Minivan with its spacious and accommodating interior
and loads of cargo space. The new 2002 MPV has been
redesigned, and an all-new upgraded engine has increased
power and precision handling even more for truly outstanding
performance.
The 2002 Mazda MPV Minivan is available
in two models - MPV LX and MPV ES - each with a solid
array of standard and optional features that will satisfy
your practical transportation requirements as well as
your needs for creature comforts.
Starting off with the Mazda MPV
LX, the well-appointed interior features air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, a remote keyless entry
system with panic feature, side-by-side second row seating,
and a tumble-under third row seat that flattens completely
for an even cargo storage area. Also standard are items
such as cruise control, tilt steering wheel column,
steering-wheel mounted audio controls, and illuminated
visor vanity mirrors.
The seating is upholstered in soft,
durable cloth and an AM/FM stereo with CD player provides
entertainment for the troops. Each vehicle features
rear window privacy glass and fifteen-inch alloy wheels.
The 2002 MPV LX Luxury package adds an eight-way power
drivers seat, in-dash CD changer, and a seat side
table.
In the performance department, the
improved new Mazda MPV LX Minivan now features a 3.0-litre,
dual overhead cam, 24-valve six-cylinder engine that
produces a very impressive 200 horsepower and 200 lb-ft
of torque. Also new for 2002 is the standard five-speed
automatic transmission that is highly responsive and
contributes to great acceleration capabilities.
Due to all the upgrades made to
the engine, the fuel economy rating has also improved
to make it not only a more environmentally-friendly
vehicle, but it will also save you money. So sit back
and enjoy the smooth and quiet ride!
Of course, when it comes to safety
Mazda is clearly conscientious, with standard features
that include anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force
distribution, and the option of traction control. The
host of safety measures continues with a keyless entry
system with panic feature, driver depowered air bag,
passenger depowered air bag, and optional front seat
side impact air bags.
Outboard seating positions are equipped
with three-point seatbelts with pretensioners, and the
vehicle is built with side impact door beams and crumple
zones. For youngsters traveling along with you, the
MPV is equipped with child seat tethers and anchors.
The Mazda MPV ES features the same
all-new engine as the previous model, but makes key
additions to the package such as genuine leather seating,
rear air conditioning, audio upgrades, and chrome interior
accents. It sports seventeen-inch alloy wheels, and
sliding power rear doors with sliding windows.
