2002 Mercedes-Benz E
The classy new 2002 Mercedes-Benz
E Class Sedan is available in five different models
this year, giving you a wide variety of choices to suit
your lifestyle and luxury requirements. Each four-door
vehicle comfortably seats five passengers, with plenty
of room to spare.
Here, we take a look
at each of the 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320 Sedan, E320 AWD
Sedan, E430 Sedan, E430 AWD Sedan, and finally the E55
AMG Sedan.
Right off the start,
the rear wheel drive Mercedes-Benz E 320 Sedan packs
a six-cylinder engine with SOHC, sequential port fuel
injection system, 232 lbs-ft of torque, and 221 horsepower.
In the transmission department, we see a responsive
five-speed automatic. The ride is smooth and quiet,
with almost no engine vibration detectable in the cabin
even when accelerated at full steam.
In terms of safety, Mercedes-Benz
pretty much covers it all beginning with ABS brakes,
passenger depowered air bag, driver depowered air bag,
side impact air bags, and side head protection air bags.
For those of you with families, youll be pleased
to learn that the E 320 Sedan is equipped with child
safety locks and a passenger air bag cut-off switch.
Additional safety standards include front fog lights
and traction control.
Of course, aside from
superior engineering the Mercedes-Benz has a reputation
for luxury. Each vehicle is graced with dual power mirrors,
power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning.
youll cruise the streets to the tune of a high
quality AM/FM stereo with CD player, available as a
package.
Back to the standards,
the E 320 Sedan is equipped with a keyless entry system
and theft deterrent system to watch over your vehicle
when youre not around. A moonroof/sunroof is optional,
and leather seats are available in a package.

are reflected perfectly in this model.

Following in the footsteps
of the previous models, we again see little change in
safety, convenience, or comfort - except that leather
upholstery is not available as a package anymore and
drive type is two-wheel rear. However, performance gets
an overhaul with the addition of performance SBR tires,
an eight-cylinder engine, and 275 horsepower with 295
lbs-ft of torque.
