2002 Nissan Frontier King Cab Overview

Nissan introduces the new 2002 Frontier Pickup Truck with quite a bit of confidence up against the big competitors, offering high-quality pickups with lots of choices. Four models are available: Frontier XE King Cab, Frontier XE-V6 King Cab, Frontier SE-V6 King Cab, and Frontier S/C King Cab.

Beginning with the Nissan Frontier XE King Cab, a look under the hood reveals a 2.4-litre, SOHC, 16-valve, six-cylinder engine with 143 horsepower and 154 lbs-ft of torque. Standard transmission is five-speed manual, with optional four-speed automatic transmission.

As for safety, the Frontier XE King Cab is armed with rear wheel ABS brakes, front crumple zones, steel side door beams, driver depowered air bag, and passenger depowered air bag. The passenger air bag features a cut-off switch.

The interior of this entry-level model features an array basic controls and conveniences, but leaves the bigger stuff to the rest of the model line up.

The steering wheel is wrapped stylishly in leather, and passengers will enjoy the comforts of air conditioning while cruising to the tune of an AM/FM stereo with CD player and four speakers.
