2002 Nissan Pathfinder Overview

The Nissan Pathfinder Sport Utility has been around for many years and has enjoyed its popularity in large part due to a smart combination of performance, safety, and luxury features. The new 2002 models are true to tradition and come wrapped in an attractive, sporty package.

This year, two models are available: Nissan Pathfinder SE Sport Utility, and Nissan Pathfinder LE Sport Utility. Each has practical four-door entry, and there is ample room for five passengers in its comfortable interior. Four-wheel drive versions of each model are also available.

First up, the Nissan Pathfinder SE Sport Utility packs luxuries such as power windows, power door locks, keyless entry system, steering wheel mounted cruise control, and air conditioning.

The steering wheel is wrapped in soft leather, and the driver’s seat is eight-way adjustable. In the rear, the seat folds down to accommodate the extra equipment and supplies a busy life brings. Each vehicle includes an AM/FM stereo with CD player and six speakers.

As for safety, the Nissan Pathfinder SE Sport Utility is equipped with child safety locks, driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, ABS brakes, immobilizer system, and a theft deterrent system. The lock key cylinder is also tamper-proof for added insurance against theft.

In the performance arena, the rear wheel drive Nissan Pathfinder SE Sport Utility shines with a powerful 3.5-litre, 24-valve, six-cylinder engine that rips out 250 horsepower and 240 lbs-ft of torque. The standard transmission is four-speed automatic, and the vehicls spins along on sixteen-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
