2002 Pontiac Sunfire Coupe:

Several years ago, Pontiac introduced the Sunfire Coupe and it was an immediate hit amongst those with a flare for sporty cars but didn’t want to pay the hefty price tag that some of them can go for. In addition, the Sunfire maintained a great deal of practicality and quite a number of luxury features.

And so the new 2002 Sunfire Coupe line up is welcomed, with two sleek and sexy models to choose from- Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe and Pontiac Sunfire GT Coupe - each seating five passengers with two-door entry.

The Sunfire SE Coupe packs standard comforts and conveniences such as the cool breeze of air conditioning on a hot day, a theft deterrent system, and a folding rear seat for excess luggage or your weekend leisure gear.

The list of amenities continues with optional cruise control, moonroof/sunroof, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. A keyless entry system, power windows, dual power mirrors, and power door locks all come as a package deal.

In the safety department, the Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe is armed with front and rear head restraints, a driver depowered air bag, and a passenger depowered air bag. Among the design and equipment standards are ABS brakes for added control.

The entry-level Sunfire SE Coupe features a four-cylinder engine with SOHC, sequential port fuel injections, 115 horsepower, and 135 lbs-ft of torque. The standard transmission is five-speed manual, which works well with the other engine specifications when it comes to accelerating.

Automatic transmission is available as an option. Each front wheel drive Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe is equipped with all-season SBR tires, and checks in at 24/34 (city/hwy) for fuel economy.

Base invoice price: $13,450
Base list price: $14,540

Up one level, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire GT Coupe has been tinkered with under the hood, resulting in an increase to 150 horsepower and 155 lbs-ft of torque. Front fog lights have been added, along with performance SBR tires and a standard AM/FM stereo with CD player. All the other options and packages in the base model are matched.

Base invoice price: $15,591
Base list price: $16,855
