2002 Pontiac Sunfire:

The stylish and sporty new 2002 Pontiac Sunfire Sedan certainly does not sacrifice its sleek appearance to accommodate four doors and potential use as a family vehicle. In fact, its sportscar-look will attract everybody, from the young and single - to the young at heart.

With economy in mind, the Sunfire Sedan is priced competitively and gives you a variety of options and packages to choose from according to your driving and lifestyle requirements, along with your budget.

Performance specifications for the Pontiac Sunfire Sedan include a four-cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft, sequential port fuel injections system, 115 horsepower, and 135 lbs-ft of torque.

The standard transmission is five-speed manual, which gets the best out of the engine’s capabilities and overall performance. However, the optional automatic transmission does a pretty good job, allowing the vehicle to accelerate well and with little hesitation at full throttle.

Every Pontiac Sunfire Sedan is equipped with front wheel drive, and all-season SBR tires. The fuel consumption rating is estimated at 24/34 (city/hwy).

Along with good performance come solid safety standards. The Sunfire Sedan is built with safety measures that include a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, child safety locks in the rear, and both front and rear head rear head restraints. ABS brakes have also been added to the package as a standard item.

Of course, we all look for the comforts and conveniences in our next new car. The Pontiac Sunfire Sedan features four-door entry, a seating capacity of five passengers, and lots of room in the trunk. Should you require extra cargo space, the rear seat folds down.

Drivers and passengers will appreciate the comfort of air conditioning, and options such as cruise control and an AM/FM stereo with CD player for entertainment value. Some of the packages offered include power windows, power door locks, power outside mirrors, cruise control, and a keyless entry system.
