Subaru has released its latest run at the competition with the new 2002 Subaru Outback Wagon. With a seating capacity of five passengers and convenient four-door entry and handy rear liftgate, it is packed with plenty of bells and whistles to suit every driver’s needs.

For 2002, choose from the Subaru Outback 2.5 Wagon, Subaru Outback 2.5 Limited Wagon, Subaru Outback H6-3.0 Wagon, and Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC Wagon, and Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC Sedan .

Powering the 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5 Wagon is a 2.5-litre, SOHC, four-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder. It features 165 horsepower, 166 lbs-ft of torque, distributorless electronic ignition, limited slip rear differential, and sequential multi-point dual spray fuel injection system. Standard transmission available is a five-speed manual or four-speed electronic automatic transmission with torque converter.

Comforts and conveniences in the new 2002 Subuaru Outback 2.5 Wagon include a 60/40 split folding rear seat, dual front and rear cupholders, heated front seats, six-way power driver’s seat, rear seatback nets, and a wood grain accented interior.

As well, every vehicle comes with air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo with four speakers, cruise control, remote keyless entry system, power door locks, power windows, and retractable cover. There are also cargo tie-downs, windshield sunshade, and tilt steering wheel.

Covering safety measures thoroughly, the 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5 Wagon features head restraints and three-point seatbelts at every seating position, child safety locks, cheld seat tethers and anchors, and front and rear crumple zones. Every wagon also headlines side impact door beams, a driver air bag, and a dual stage passenger air bag.

Next in line, the 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5 Limited Wagon comes with a fours-speed automatic transmission only, and boasts leather seating surfaces leatherette door inserts, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift, an also has an attractive wood grain accented interior. The sound system has also been upgraded to an AM/FM weather band/cassette/CD stereo with eight speakers. And for additional safety, this model features side impact air bags.

The 2002 Subaru Outback H6-3.0 Wagon takes things up to another level altogether, featuring a spirited 3.0-litre, DOHC H-6, 16-valve, V6 engine that cranks out 210 horsepower and 210 lbs-ft of torque. Standard transmission is four-speed electronic automatic with transmission shift lock. This model features the benefits of full-time all-wheel drive, so you can tackle difficult terrain and weather conditions confidently.

And at the top of the 2002 line up, the Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC Wagon features Vehicle Dynamics Control with integrated traction control system. This model also boasts full-time all-wheel drive and a V6 engine. It also comes in a sedan configuration for those who prefer.
