2002 Toyota Sequoia

2002 Toyota Sequoia resources:

2002 Toyota Sequoia

Aside from a few additional safety and convenience options on selected models, the new 2002 Toyota Sequoia Sport Utility remains largely unchanged for this year. The Sequoia is Toyota’s largest and most powerful sport utility vehicle, and like its small SUV and mid-size SUV counterparts, the RAV4 and the 4Runner, it mounts a serious challenge to its competitors due to Toyota’s steadfast reputation and willingness to pack a lot of features into a vehicle at an economical price for the consumer.

This year’s line up offers four impressive models, each with a variety of features to choose from: Sequoia SR5 Sport Utility, Sequoia SR5 4WD Sport Utility, Sequoia Limited Sport Utility, and Sequoia 4WD Sport Utility. All of them have a seating capacity of eight passengers, so whether you’re doing renovations on the house, car-pooling, or loading up family and friends for an outing, you’ll always have plenty of space for people, luggage, equipment, and supplies. For even more cargo volume, the third row seat can be removed. With four doors and the rear lift gate, loading everyone and everything in and out is easy.

The Toyota Sequoia SR5 Sport Utility starts us off with impressive performance specifications such as a 4.7-litre 32-valve eight-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower and 315 lbs-ft of torque. The towing capacity is 6500 lbs, and each vehicle is equipped with mud and snow SBR tires for a fierce grip on the road. Standard transmission is four-speed automatic, and this entry-level model has two-wheel rear drive.

Safety features in the Sequoia SR5 Sport Utility cover a broad range of essentials and are listed as ABS brakes, traction control, driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, child safety locks in the rear seating areas, and both front and rear head restraints. Side impact air bags and front fog lights are available as options.

The Sequoia SR5 Sport Utility continues its impressive array of features with a variety of luxuries and conveniences. Standards include cruise control, power door locks, air conditioning, remote lift gat release, and power windows. A rear wiper and an AM/FM stereo with CD player are also standards.

A lengthy list of options are available, namely a keyless entry system, power tilt moonroof, roof rack, rear door privacy glass, dual zone climate control, power-adjustable front captain’s chairs, and numerous other functional and cosmetic upgrades. Leather seating and color-keyed dual power mirrors are available as packages. The theft deterrent system is a port installed option.

Base invoice price: $27,824
Base list price: $31,265

Following in the footsteps of the base model, the Toyota Sequoia SR5 4WD Sport Utility echoes all the features and amenities and adds to the jam-packed list four-wheel on-demand drive to tackle more challenging terrain and weather conditions. The extra four-on-the-floor power makes this model a solid choice for a working vehicle or those with some pretty steep back roads requirements!

Base invoice price: $30,965
Base list price: $34,795

Our third model, the Toyota Sequoia Limited Sport Utility, takes the previous model and piles on front fog lights, a keyless entry system, dual power mirrors, and leather seating as standards. The sound system has been upgraded, and a rear spoiler added for sporty good looks. This is a two-wheel rear drive vehicle.

Base invoice price: $35,070
Base list price: $39,405

The grand master of the Toyota SUV line up is the Sequoia Limited 4WD Sport Utility, an impressive vehicle amassing all the performance, safety, and luxury amenities of the last model and is again upgraded with four-wheel on-demand drive. All of this at a pretty reasonable price tag, too.

Base invoice price: $37,811
Base list price: $42,725
