2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV
The 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV increases the size of
the regular length Escalade and provides a more powerful
engine, giving it ox-like strength. The extra twenty-two
inches on the ESV are spread out over the vehicle's
entire body, resulting in increased cargo space in the
back and even more spacious seating for passengers.
Up to eight people will find ample room within the ESV's
confines, while available second-row bucket seats decrease
the capacity to seven passengers.
Like other Escalade models, the ESV combines performance,
power and the comfort of many luxury items in a sporty
SUV's body. For families who want to experience the
rush of power in a stylish setting, the 2003 Escalade
ESV is the vehicle of choice. Weighing in at a half-ton,
it will handle almost any demand comfortably, while
doing so with the maximum amount of grace possible for
such a large creature.
Under the Hood
In order to offset its added dimensions, manufacturers
have equipped the Escalade ESV with a 6.0-liter high-output
V8 able to rev up to 345 horsepower. The ESV is also
given all-wheel drive for maximum handling. Its sturdy
construction, coupled with antilock 4-wheel disc brakes
and dual front/side airbags with passenger-sensing system
for child safety ensure the security and peace of mind
families are looking for.
Even though it's a four-door, full-size SUV, the Escalade
ESV handles exceptionally well. The ride you'll get
is as smooth as any, with a standard load-leveling suspension
system and automatic shock-absorber control taking care
of the bumps. For added convenience, a rear-obstacle
detection system is also provided, giving the Escalade
ESV eyes in the back of its head.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
Luxury is a top priority with the Cadillac Escalade.
There are seemingly countless standard features, including
the OnStar System, 10-way power front bucket seats,
power-adjustable pedals, a memory system for driver
seat, pedals, and mirrors and a Bose AM/FM/cassette
with in-dash 6-disc CD changer. At the control tower,
a 34-function Driver Information Center keeps you abreast
of everything that is happening.
To make the picture even brighter, additional luxury
and performance packages are available. Some of the
highlights are a rear seat DVD Entertainment System,
heavy-duty trailering equipment, XM Satellite Radio
and a power sunroof.
With more space than the regular length, the ESV adds
more room to the already abundant list of features of
the 2003 Cadillac Escalade.
