2003 Chevrolet Corvette reviews and buying guide.

2003 Chevrolet Corvette resources:

2003 Chevrolet Corvette

Corvette. The name alone is enough to conjure up hundreds of adjectives to describe this perennial speedster. For fifty years the Corvette has stood perched atop the scale of high-performance vehicles. Celebrating these five decades of outstanding engineering, the manufacturers of the 2003 Corvette have produced a special 50th Anniversary Edition, available only on the 2003 coupe and convertible models. For those people who are Corvette enthusiasts, this special anniversary edition is a must have.

Along with the coupe and convertible, the 2003 Corvette comes in a Z06 model as well. Even more powerful than the coupe and convertible, the Z06 will certainly get you up to any speed very quickly. As usual, the Corvette comes with a host of standard features and specialized options, including an advanced shock absorbent system available on the coupe and convertible models.

Under the Hood

Without question, the 2003 Corvette can move. The coupe and convertible offer a 5.7-liter V8 with 350 hp in either 4 speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission. As if that isn't enough power, the Z06 boasts a V8 with 405 hp (6-speed manual transmission only).

Just as performance is not a question with the 2003 Corvette, neither is safety. To the former, the coupe and convertible offer an option on the advanced Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension (standard on the 50th anniversary edition model), while the Z06 has its own smooth suspension system and extended mobility tires. All models offer dual front airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, antiskid system, tire pressure monitor, and traction control, reinforcing the idea that safety is always of paramount importance in any vehicle.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

Pretty much every comfort and convenience feature comes standard with all versions of the 2003 Corvette. Air conditioning w/dual-zone automatic climate controls, cruise control, leather upholstery, bucket seats, 6-way power seats, Bose AM/FM/CD player, digital clock, and outside-temperature indicator are just part of the convenience package you get with the Corvette.

The 50th anniversary edition comes equipped with special 50th Anniversary Red exterior paint, specific badging, unique Shale interior including color coordinated instrument panel and console, champagne-painted anniversary wheels with special emblems, and a few other features to highlight Corvette's half century of quality and endurance.

Corvette. Without saying another word, you know what to expect. For 2003, the tradition certainly continues.
