2003 Chevy Blazer
The 2003 Chevy Blazer is a compact SUV that combines
performance, toughness and versatility - all the prerequisites
for a successful sport utility vehicle. Blazer slots
into Chevy's lineup between the Tracker and the Trailblazer,
and as the middle sibling offers a nice blend of capabilities.
It has the ability to do all the tough stuff when needed,
as well as carry you around city streets in a nice,
comfortable ride. The 2003 Chevy Blazer comes in two
versions: the LS model (in both two-door and four-door),
and the sporty Xtreme (two-door). The 2003 LS is the
latest in the standard, tested line of Blazers, while
the Xtreme provides a little more spark for those who
like to live on the edge.
For 2003, the Blazer offers an improved full-injection
system, a more stylish interior, and a list of other
convenience options that make the ride on the inside
just as good as the Blazer looks on the outside. Throw
in the rugged versatility inherent in Chevy trucks,
along with safety and dependability, and you've summed
up the 2003 Blazer.
Under the Hood
The 2003 Blazer's engine has plenty of bite. As a 4.3-liter
V6 with 190 hp at 4400rpm and 250lb-ft of torque at
2800rpm, there is little chance you won't be able to
get up to speed quickly or power through whatever terrain
you choose to confront. The LS model comes in either
4-speed automatic transmission (standard in the four-door)
or 5-speed manual (optional only in the two-door), while
the Xtreme offers the same choice in its version.
Both the LS and Xtreme make safety a priority, with
dual front airbags and standard antilock brakes. If
you want to see what kind of challenge the Blazer's
up to, your best bet is the Xtreme, with its advanced
Z87 Sport Suspension system.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
Cruise control, air-conditioning, and all the basics
come standard with both the LS and Xtreme versions of
the 2003 Chevy Blazer. Four-wheel drive configuration
is available on both versions as well, as are a host
of other amenities to improve the comfort of the ride.
The Xtreme offers a little more in the way of style,
for those who are so inclined. With lower body-side
cladding and wheel flares, body-colored grille, bumpers,
lower cladding and flares, and special "Xtreme
badging," you're sure to be noticed cruising around.
Five-spoke aluminum wheels also come standard, though
there's a good chance they might be covered in mud and
grime from a hard days ride (again, if you're so inclined).
Xtreme owners can also choose from a number of options,
including a new Flame/Heat decal package, available
sunroof, and a variety of sophisticated audio systems.
All of this and more, at a reasonable price to boot,
with the 2003 Chevy Blazer.
