2003 Chevrolet Tracker reviews and buying guide.

2003 Chevrolet Tracker resources:

2003 Chevrolet Tracker

For 2003, there are plenty of Trackers to choose from. With a wide selection of sizes and styles, buyers in the market for a small SUV will have little trouble finding the right fit. The Tracker is comes in three different models: base, ZR2, and LT. The base model is offered in 2-door convertible or 4-door hardtop. The tough-looking ZR2 is offered in both 2-door convertible and four-door hardtop as well, while the upscale LT is only available in 4-door hardtop.

The Tracker is both durable and stylish. On top of the solid Chevy Truck construction are heaped a number of appearance-smoothing features, and even more style packages are optional for those who want to tailor their vehicles further. Versatility is the name of the game for the Tracker. A good value and a whole lot of truck packed into a small SUV's body, you can't go wrong with this Chevrolet mainstay.

Under the Hood

The standard engine on the base model (both 2-door convertible and 4-door hardtop) is an efficient 2.0-liter inline L4. The ZR2 and LT models provide a beefed-up 2.5-liter V6. 5-speed manual transmission is standard on the base model and the 2-door ZR2, while 4-speed automatic transmission is standard on the LT and optional on the base and 2-door ZR2 models.

Power front disc/rear drum brakes and dual front airbags come with all models. Antilock brakes is an available option. The precise handling Tracker offers is another safety feature that comes standard with any model.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

The base model comes equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM CD radio, power rack-and-pinion steering, folding rear seat, and shift-on-the-fly transfer case on 4WD models. The ZR2 and LT provide slightly more, with cruise control, power doors and locks and remote keyless entry. Another standard feature, despite its small SUV category, is the amount of passenger space in both 2-door and 4-door versions of the Tracker.

Deep tinted glass, ski and bike racks, brush guard and fog lamps are among the available options that will spice up the Tracker's appearance. The ZR2 package gives a rough-and-tumble look, while the LT package has a more refined sense of style. Either way, owners will find all the means necessary to spice up their vehicles.

Completely versatile, with an array of sizes and styles to choose from, the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker fits in all the right ways.
