2003 Chrysler 300M reviews and buying guide.

2003 Chrysler 300M resources:

2003 Chrysler 300M

The 300M is a sporty near-luxury sedan that blends performance and handling in a sleek aerodynamic design. Though not privy to full-luxury car status, the 300M still comes with standard features galore, complimenting the already high-level of power available. For 2003, the 300M is the first Chrysler vehicle to offer factory-installed Sirius Satellite Radio.

The 2003, the Chrysler 300M is offered in a base model and an uplevel Special model. Both models have four doors and seat five passengers. The 300M Special ups the intensity with ground effects that surround the vehicle's lower body and a ride height that is lowered a cool half inch.

Under the Hood

The standard engine under the hood of the Chrysler 300M is a 3.5-liter V6 that provides 250 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 3900 rpm. A smooth-shifting 4-speed automatic transmission with manual shift capability gets the 300M up to speed very quickly. The 300M doesn't need to be filled up every other day either, as it offers a fuel rating of 18/26 mpg (city/hwy).

The 300M Special model offers more in the way of performance with a sport-tuned suspension system, firm strut damping, tall rear jounce bumpers and 17:1 ratio firm-feel steering gear, which enhances on-center feel. Both models come with traction control, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes and dual front airbags.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

The instrument panel and door accents of the 2003 Chrysler 300M have a carbon fiber appearance for a sporty look. Base models come equipped with power steering, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls, cruise control, air conditioning with automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated 8-way power front bucket seats with driver-side lumbar adjustment, memory system (driver seat, mirrors, radio), AM/FM/CD player, analog clock, tachometer and trip computer. The Special adds an AM/FM/cassette with in-dash 6-disc CD changer and other features.

The newly available Sirius Satellite Radio will offer customers 100 coast-to-coast radio channels of diverse programming. 60 of these channels are commercial-free music channels, while 40 cover news, sports and entertainment.
