2003 Chrysler Sebring
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring Sedan is the type of vehicle
that smaller families will love. Not only does it offer
top government safety ratings and extensive roominess,
it also throws in a healthy share of performance features
and a ride that can only be described as comfortable.
The four-door Sebring Sedan has enough interior room
to seat five passengers without a problem. In addition,
there is 16 feet of cargo room left over for whatever
else needs to be carried. And with 60/40 spilt-folding
rear seatbacks, the Sebring Sedan can also accommodate
long items including skis or snowboards. For 2003, the
Sebring Sedan is offered in two models: LX and LXi.
Under the Hood
The LX model comes with a confident 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder
engine that offers 150 horsepower. The uplevel LXi model
features a stronger 2.7-liter V6 that delivers 200 horsepower.
Both the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and the 2.7-liter
V6 engine are mated to a standard four-speed automatic
transaxle. Both engines don't guzzle gas either, as
the former has a fuel rating of 21/30 mpg (city/hwy),
while the V6 offers 20/28 mpg (city/hwy).
Sebring Sedan was given a five-star rating by the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration for both the driver
and front passenger in a frontal impact and for rollover
resistance. Additional safety features include an advanced
occupant restraint system, sturdier body structure and
trim for improved impact protection, internal trunk
latch release and best-in-class brakes.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
Along with roominess, the interior of the 2003 Chrysler
Sebring Sedan also provides a nice array of standard
features for the ride. LX models come equipped with
air conditioning, power steering, tilt steering wheel,
cloth upholstery, front bucket seats with driver-seat
lumbar adjustment, power mirrors, windows and door locks,
AM/FM/cassette, tachometer and rear defogger. On top
of that, LXi models add cruise control, 8-way power
driver seat, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD player,
trip computer, compass, outside-temperature indicator
and an automatic-off headlights feature.
The options list is long and practical. A luxury package,
available with LXi Sedans, features leather upholstery,
leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, universal
garage-door opener, premium sound system, electroluminescent
instrument cluster, automatic door locks, cargo net
and a theft-deterrent system with alarm. Additional
items and packages for both models are ready and waiting.
Safe, roomy and practical, the 2003 Chrysler Sebring
Sedan is the answer to the small family equation.
