2003 Ford Crown Victoria reviews and buying guide.

2003 Ford Crown Victoria resources:

2003 Ford Crown Victoria

In the full-size sedan class, the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria and the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX offer design updates that greatly improve handling while maintaining the comfort and accessibility this four-door vehicle has long been known for. Revamped underpinnings and a redesigned front suspension enhance the Crown Victoria's already smooth ride. The 2003 models continue to offer superior isolation from road noise and wind rush, and seat six comfortably.

As one of the few remaining body-on-frame automobiles, the roomy and feature-loaded Crown Victoria sells at a very reasonable price. By midyear, the standard and LX models will be joined by the LX Sport model, which will feature bucket front seats instead of the traditional bench seat.

Under the Hood

The 2003 Ford Crown Victoria and the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX contain 4.6 L V-8 engines, offering 220 horsepower. With four-speed automatic transmission, the exceptional steering system, now changed to a speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion system, means the Crown Victoria handles well in both highway and around-town driving. It has a strong braking system, with ABS standard on both models. Traction control is an option on these rear-wheel sedans.

In the 2003 LX model, emergency inside trunk release and standard duel front airbags are complemented by front side airbags.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

Both the standard and LX models feature air conditioning, power steering, cruise control, keyless entry, and a theft-deterrent system. Some styling updates for 2003 include redesigned headlamps, while in the LX model, the spacious trunk is now complemented by a storage unit, offering handy covered compartments.

Extra features available on the LX model include auto-climate control, power adjustable pedals, and a trip computer.

Both Crown Victoria models are roomy, comfort-oriented sedans that combine safety with towing ability.
