2003 GMC Sierra Denali
GMC's Sierra Denali is quite possibly the finest full-size,
light-duty pickup truck on the road. For 2003, a plethora
of enhancements make sure this status will endure for
at least another year. There is really nothing the Denali
doesn't cover. In terms of performance, the Denali offers
an ultra-powerful engine, razor-sharp turning capability,
smooth suspension and a tough, durable underlying construction.
In terms of comfort, luxury is the only word that properly
describes what owners experience.
The Sierra Denali has the basic construction of a Sierra
1500 four-door extended cab (dual rear-hinged back doors)
with a short 6.5-ft. Fleetside box and front bucket
seats. On top of this, manufacturers spread the refinements
and upgrades generously, leaving no aspect untouched.
Under the Hood
The engine underneath the Denali's hood is a powerful
Vortec 6.0-liter V8 with 325 horsepower at 5000rpm and
370lb-ft of torque at 4000rpm. Hydra-Matic 4L65-E 4-speed
automatic transmission provides smooth on-the-fly shifting.
Also featured are a rugged sport suspension system,
a high capacity air cleaner and Quadrasteer. A four-wheel
steering system, Quadrasteer turns the rear wheels (up
to 12 degrees) in relation to the front wheels for unprecedented
low-speed maneuverability and high-speed stability and
control.
Like other Sierras, the 2003 Denali offers new four-wheel
disc, four-wheel antilock brakes with Dynamic Rear Proportioning.
The result is more stopping power and less maximum pedal
force required for high deceleration stops. Dual front
airbags are standard, as is the LATCH (Lower Anchors
and Tethers for Children) system for child seats.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
Where do you begin with the Denali? Without exaggeration,
the Denali comes with pretty much every conceivable
comfort feature standard. Picking out just a few names
from the list proves this clearly enough. Here are just
a few of the things you get: eight-button steering wheel
controls; an AM/FM radio with CD player, cassette and
remote, in-dash six-disc CD changer, part of a Bose
audio system with six speakers and AudioPilot to automatically
adjusts volume and equalization for ambient road or
wind noise; the OnStar System with one year service;
leather upholstery and heated, power front bucket seats
with driver-side memory.
Want more? It's difficult to imagine anyone needing
any more refinement than what is already provided for,
but optional equipment is there for those who do.
Customers looking for ultimate refinement and performance
in a full-size pickup need look no further than the
2003 Sierra Denali.
