2003 Infiniti G35 reviews and buying guide.

2003 Infiniti G35 resources:

2003 Infiniti G35

The 4-door 2003 Infiniti sedan and the 2-door 2003 Infiniti Coupe have a number of shared features and options. They are fine additions to the near-luxury class and have received acclaim for handling, ride and roominess.

Infiniti has given the consumer a wide range of options with which one can pump up the luxury factor. On top of a generous collection of standard features on the base model Luxury edition, a large collection of add-ons can be ordered for the Luxury Leather, sufficient for the most picky comfort and gadget mad purchaser.

Under the Hood

Both vehicles share a rear-drive V6 with optional 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. The engines produce the same amount of torque, with 260 lb-ft at 4800 rpm, but the Coupe is a smaller car and has 20 extra hp (280hp at 6000 rpm to be exact), which gives it punchier acceleration. However, both models have the passing power to get you out of trouble at highway speeds if menaced by an 18-wheeler or wanting to pass a slow-moving Winnebago.

Front-side and dual front airbags combine with 4-wheel disc brakes, brake assist and an antiskid system to enhance the safety of Infiniti Drivers and passengers.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

The standard features are quite generous on the Infiniti but a broad range of add-ons is also available in various options packages. To start with standard features on the base model Luxury Edition: an in-dash 6-CD changer with AM/FM and cassette, automatic climate control with A/C, bucket seats, cruise control, tachometer, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel, while power door locks, windows, mirrors and steering, and remote keyless entry allow much to be done with the touch of a button. A theft-deterrent system to protect all these luxuries is also standard.

A move to the Luxury Leather Edition adds leather upholstery throughout, steering wheel radio controls and an 8-way power driver seat and a broad range of options packages not available for the base model.

These options packages hold the real variation in choice. The Premium Package upgrades the driver seat, climate controls, power sunroof, wood interior trim and a Bose sound system. The Winter Package adds heated front seats and a full-size spare while the Sport-Tuned Suspension Package makes the drive more aggressive with a rigid sport suspension. It also tweaks the styling with titanium-finished interior trim and 215/55WR17 tires. Add the Aero (aerodynamic) Package to this and underbody side fairings and a rear spoiler reduce wind-drag.

Finally, individual add-ons can be ordered for the Luxury Leather, for example, a navigation system is available for those who need it, although the premium package is required.
