2003 Infiniti QX4 reviews and buying guide.

2003 Infiniti QX4 resources:

2003 Infiniti QX4

The Infiniti QX4 hit the road in 1997 as a luxury SUV combining the type of features implied by this title. Sleek and confident, with many comfort appointments and convenient gadgets, the QX4 nevertheless houses a strong engine and a proven set of performance capabilities. For 2003 the QX4 is better than ever, following other Infiniti models into the next generation.

The QX4 has a four-door body style with room for five passengers. It comes with rear-wheel drive or the advanced All-Mode 4WD that can be left engaged on dry pavement and includes low-range gearing. For 2003, many of the features that were once optional become standard, resulting in an even more appealing entry-level model.

Under the Hood

The QX4 shares the Nissan Pathfinder's proven engine configuration for powerful acceleration and towing ability. It is a 3.5-liter V6 that doles out 240 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 265 lb-ft of torque at 3200 rpm. The QX4 uses an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission for seamless shifting.

All QX4s are built with rigid MonoFrame construction, providing a stable platform, reduced noise and vibration, improved ride and handling and excellent body fit. Though a luxury vehicle, the QX4 has an advanced suspension system that offers both on-road and off-road durability. For safety, dual front airbags, front side airbags, antilock brakes and front-seat active head restraints come standard.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

Diamond Graphite is a new color for 2003. It joins an exterior package that includes 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, black privacy glass, integrated fender flares, splash guards and step rails with slip-resistant inserts.

The inside is equipped with air conditioning with automatic climate control, a tilt wood/leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls, cruise control, leather upholstery, a center console, wood interior trim, heated power mirrors, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, a Bose AM/FM/cassette with in-dash 6-disc CD changer, an analog clock, outside-temperature indicator, compass and more.

The options list addresses every conceivable aspect of driving. A DVD entertainment system, a towing package and a navigation system are just some of the available goods. In other words, the 2003 Infiniti QX4 entails what the term luxury SUV really means.
