2003 Kia Sedona reviews and buying guide.

2003 Kia Sedona resources:

2003 Kia Sedona

The Kia Sedona is back for its second year. Introduced in 2002, the Sedona is a minivan with a carefully thought-out interior that maximizes storage and seating space in order to satisfy the largest of families. Dependable and highly capable, the Sedona is also one of the least expensive minivans on the road today.

The Sedona is offered in one body length, with dual sliding side doors for easy entry. Seven passengers can sit inside the Sedona, while the engine under the hood makes sure the Sedona can handle whatever it needs to carry. There are two trim levels offered, LX and EX.

Under the Hood

The engine of the 2003 Kia Sedona gets the minivan up to speed without delay. It is a 3.5-liter V6 with 195 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 218 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm. A smooth 5-speed automatic transmission system provides Sedona drivers with quick, hands-free acceleration.

A steel unibody platform with front and rear anti-roll bar, independent MacPherson strut front suspension, five-link rear beam axle with coil springs and precise rack-and-pinion steering are standard for responsive handling, quiet ride and comfort. To protect its occupants, the Sedona offers first and second row height-adjustable safety belt anchors, dual airbags, an energy absorbing steering column, child safety sliding door locks, side-impact door beams and a child seat anchoring system.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

The entry-level LX model has a nice blend of standard comfort features including rear privacy glass, front and rear air conditioning, cruise control, cloth upholstery, front bucket seats with driver-seat height adjustment, a center console, cupholders, power mirrors, front windows and door locks, an AM/FM/CD player, a digital clock, a tachometer, variable-intermittent wipers with de-icer, a rear defogger and more. The EX model throws in a roof rack, fog lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated power mirrors, power rear quarter windows, remote keyless entry, an AM/FM/cassette/CD player, illuminated visor mirrors, a trip computer and a universal garage-door opener.

For even more comfort, Sedona EX owners can add leather upholstery and a roof rack. Across all models is an optional tow hitch for added capability.

Families are served and parents aren’t cleaned out with the 2003 Kia Sedona.
