which comes as either Sedan or Wagon. The 2003 Subaru

Under
the Hood
The
WRX has a turbocharged 4-cyldohc 2.0-liter. This high-revving
and remarkably sturdy engine puts out substantially
more power than the smallerImpreza Wagon engine with 227 hp.
This is achieved at 6000 rpm while the peak torque,
of 217lb-ft is rated at 4000rpm. The turbocharged engine
has a choice of manual or automatic transmissions and
it has a mileage rating of 19/27 mpg.
WRX
editions have some distinctive and stylish exterior
differences, compared to the RS models. These include
an aluminum hood, functional hood scoop, aerodynamic
side ground effects molding and dual outlet sport tailpipe.
Dual-power foldaway side mirrors and multi-reflector
halogen fog lights also add functional and stylistic
value to exterior.
TheImpreza Wagon
2.5 RS Wagon, like the 2.5 RS Sedan, is powered by a
beefy 2.5-litersohc 4-cyl with 165hp at 5600rpm and
166lb-ft of torque at 4000rpm. Teamed with a 5-speed
manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, this less
powerful of the twoImpreza Wagon engines gets a solid 21/27mpg
(city/hwy). TheImpreza Wagon models also feature fully independent
sport-tuned suspension with coil springs, 4-channe,
4-sensor power-assisted anti-lock disc brakes, Variable
Torque Distribution (VTD) (an AWD feature), a viscous
limited-slip rear differential (WRX models) and much
more.
Standard
Features, Options Packages and Style
TheImpreza Wagons
have a generous complement of standard equipment and
enjoy a variety of optional amenities. Standard fixtures
include power windows and door locks, sport-design reclining
front bucket seats with driver's side height-adjustment
and a rear seat fold-down center armrest with trunk
pass-through. Cruise control, air conditioning, remote
keyless entry system, and a premium audio system with
AM/FM stereo with logic control cassette, 6-disc in-dash
