Used 2004 Acura TSX
Buying Guide for the Acura TSX:
Brand spankin’ new and ready for a challenge, the TSX is
a near-luxury sedan that combines a Honda engineering platform
with Acura’s penchant for refinement. The result is a versatile,
graceful model.
The 2004 TSX is a funky sports sedan that boasts precise
handling and style at once. Graceful, flowing lines on the
outside and a sculpted interior with leather-trimmed seats
give the TSX a fresh and inviting feel. Out on the road, it
gets up to speed without a problem and keeps the juice flowing
for prolonged drives.
Under the Hood
The all-new TSX is powered by a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine
with 200 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 166 lb-ft of torque at
4500 rpm. The TSX uses a front-wheel drive setup. Its engine
is mated to either a 5-speed automatic transmission system
that features manual-shift capability or 6-speed manual.
In typical Honda/Acura fashion, the new TSX doesn’t guzzle
the gas either. Automatic models get 22/31 mpg (city/highway),
while manuals have a rating of 21/29 mpg (city/highway).
The TSX is also a bit of a trendsetter in the Acura family.
It is the first Acura to come with standard curtain side air
bags. Other safety features include traction control, dual
front airbags, front side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes,
an antiskid system and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
The 2004 TSX has a wheelbase of 105.1 inches and an overall
length of 183.3 inches. It has four doors, seats five and
offers a total cargo volume of 13 cubic feet.
Inside, the TSX is a typical Acura. You'll find eight speakers,
a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, dual-zone automatic climate control,
a tilting power moonroof and storage spaces in every direction.
At the helm, an 8-way power driver's seat and a leather-wrapped
tilt & telescoping steering wheel will give drivers plenty
of reason to go do the errands.
The sole option with the 2004 TSX is a navigation system
that has a useful voice recognition feature. Though the future
may be uncertain, it’s a good bet to say that the TSX will
satisfy its owners.
