Used 2004 Buick Century
Buying Guide for the Buick Century:
The word of the day from the Buick Century camp is options.
For 2004, three new package options attend the midsize sedan:
Standard, Custom and Limited. Each of these packages offers
customers exceptional value by combining a number of popular
features into attractively priced groupings. In addition,
there is an impressive list of free-flow options available
as well, giving customers the added flexibility to order individual
features if need be.
In other words, there is one base model and a whole host
of different ways for you to custom fit it. Sort of like going
to an automotive buffet. The one standard is the design of
the 2004 Century. It has nice handling and roominess on the
inside, V6 power to push the dial up with ease and a safe,
sturdy underlying structure.
Under the Hood
The engine under the hood of the flexible 2004 Buick Century
is a 3.1-liter V6. It can generate up to 175 horsepower at
5200 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. The front-wheel
drive Century mates this motor to a 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive, resulting in a fuel rating of 20/29 mpg (city/highway).
4-wheel disc brakes are standard; antilock 4-wheel disc brakes
are optional. The six-passenger Century is also equipped with
Buick's Convenience Plus package of features. This list includes
delayed entry and exit lighting, theater dimming, flash-to-pass
control, battery rundown protection, lockout protection, delayed
locking, an auxiliary power outlet, theft-deterrent system
and daytime running lamps.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
The Standard Package on the 2004 Century includes remote
keyless entry, dual zone climate control, power programmable
door locks with enhanced safety and lockout protection, a
CD player, an air filtration system and power windows. Up
one level, the Custom Package adds a six-way power driver
seat, cruise control, deluxe illuminated visor vanity mirrors,
rear assist grips with switchable reading lamps, color-keyed
floormats and trunk cargo net.
At the top of the heap, the Limited Package includes leather-appointed
seating surfaces, steering wheel-mounted radio controls and
15-inch chrome-plated wheel covers.
Each package also comes with a number of free-flow options.
Some of the items spread across this list include the practical
OnStar system, and AM/FM/CD/cassette player and an engine
block heater. |
