Used 2004 Buick Regal

Buying Guide for the Buick Regal:

When you’ve achieved success for as long as the Buick Regal has, five-year increments seem to be the smallest units of measurements you can use when speaking of its accomplishments. For more than thirty years the Regal has be around, and that speaks volumes in itself. And for the fifth year a special Regal version is available with color and trim touches by renowned fashion designer Joseph Abboud, in both LS and GS models.

Regal’s blend of style, safety and modest power seem to be the foundation for its triumphs. It doesn’t rest its reputation on any one specific area of design; it attends to each of the aspects with equal effort. The result is a mid-size sedan that is well balanced and confident.

Under the Hood

Two engines split the 2004 Buick Regal lineup. Entry-level LS models feature a 3.8-liter Series II V6 engine that is able to produce 200 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

GS models have more kick thanks to their 3.8-liter supercharged Series II V6. It tops out with 200 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm. The 2004 GS features Gran Touring suspension and all-season tires for better handling. A driver side airbag is also included with GS models.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

Choices abound with the 2004 Buick Regal. The Joseph Abboud model has two-tone leather upholstery, a leather shifting boot and club-style front bucket seats, while the Abboud signature emblem is displayed on the instrument panel, carpet savers, headrests and taillamps.

In addition, there are two new Regal packages for 2004: a Luxury Package and a Leather & Luxury Package. The Luxury Package includes 16-inch aluminum wheels, the Gran Touring Package, steering-wheel-mounted radio controls, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, assist grips at all three passenger doors with switchable reading lamps, and color-keyed front and rear carpeted floormats.

The Leather & Luxury Package adds leather seating surfaces, dual-zone automatic climate control and a split-folding rear seat.
