Used 2004 Cadillac Seville SLS
Buying Guide for the Cadillac Seville SLS:
2004 is a year of transition
and the end of an era for the Seville. The Seville STS has
already been discontinued, paving the way for what will be
a high-performance sedan named STS, set to debut in 2005.
That means the SLS is the sole Seville for 2004, the last
remaining model before Cadillac retires the entire nameplate.
The SLS was retained because
it is the less expensive of the two Seville models in terms
of price. For its last go-round, manufacturers want to offer
consumers a value-based Seville—something like going out on
good terms. Once called the best front-wheel drive car on
the road, the Seville SLS still has quite a few features that
will impress you.
Under the Hood
For its last production year,
the Seville SLS will not putter out and simply die off. It
will continue to provide smooth, dependable power. Its engine
is a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 model, able to produce 275 horsepower
at 5600 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm.
4-speed electronic automatic
with overdrive and viscous-type converter clutch is the transmission
of choice. For crisp handling, the 2004 Seville SLS has Magnasteer
variable assist speed-sensitive steering and full-range traction
control.
For exceptionally stable rides,
Seville comes equipped with GM’s StabiliTrak system. Safety
features include antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, dual front
and side airbags and a rear-obstacle detection system.
Standard Features, Options

The 2004 Seville SLS is still
long and roomy. It has a wheelbase of 112.2 inches, an overall

The four-door sedan fits five passengers, with two bucket
seats up front.
The SLS has a number of advanced
technological features that result in extreme convenience
for both drivers and passengers. With such things as the OnStar
system, rain-sensing windshield wipers, XM satellite radio
and a Bose stereo, at times all you have to do is sit back
and let the Seville practically drive itself.
Additional standard items
include air conditioning with dual zone automatic climate
control, a power tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering
wheel with radio and climate controls, leather upholstery,
10-way power front seats with power lumbar adjustment and
driver-seat memory and heated front and rear seats. Options
include a navigation system and a 6-disc CD changer.
