Used 2004 Honda Civic Si

Customers who love the Honda Civic’s responsible driving ability, durability and safety but want a little more kick to the package need look no further than the Civic Si. The sporty two-door hatchback has the strongest engine of them all, plus a style that is nowhere near being shy.

For 2004, the Civic Si has 16-inch wheels instead of 15-inch ones. The unique hatchback body that forms the central aspect of its design is not just for looks; it also allows for easy access to the trunk area. And like all 2004 Civics, the Si gets revised styling at both ends this year.

The Si broadens the appeal of the entire Civic family (other Civic models covered separately). Fast and aggressive, it is designed for younger buyers, or those young at heart. If you still don’t think it has the kind of juice you need, you might want to wait for a sportier Civic hatchback that is rumored to debut as an early 2005 model.

Under the Hood

The Si is a front-wheel drive subcompact car, like all models under the Civic title. The engine that puts it at the top of the family in terms of speed is a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder model. It cranks out up to 160 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 132 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm.

The 2004 Honda Civic Si only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. It lets the driver feel the acceleration with each shift of the gears. It also gives the Si a respectable fuel rating of 26/30 mpg (city/highway).

Because it is a sporty model, Honda gives the Si a sport suspension setup. This, coupled with a balance system and power steering, creates a ride that is stable and bump free, as well as quite responsive to the driver’s feel. And all of this will also take place at high speeds.

Standard Features, Options Packages and Style

The Civic Si has the ability to sit five passengers. Its hatchback body gives the sporty model the most cargo volume of the entire line at 35.7 cubic feet.

A power sunroof is standard with the Si. So too are power mirrors, windows and door locks, a center console, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an AM/FM/CD player, cruise control, remote keyless entry, alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, 195/60VR15 tires and a cargo cover.
