Used 2004 Infiniti M45
Buying Guide for the Infiniti M45:
Formerly, the M45 was only available on the other side of
the Pacific Ocean. Last year, it was brought over to provide
its luxurious mix of power and technology to the American
public.
The sedan is classy and strong, as is evidenced by a 340-horsepower
V8 engine. On the inside, there are features galore, ranging
from seating comfort to listening pleasure. Really, when you
look at it there isn’t much wanting from this upscale model,
which is why Infiniti decided to introduce it to the US market.
High performance is also matched by safety with the 2004
M45. Along with front side airbags, curtain side airbags and
a tire-pressure monitor, the M45 features antilock 4-wheel
disc brakes with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD).
It adjusts the amount of brake force applied to the front
and rear wheels for improved performance and less brake wear.
Under the Hood
There isn’t any reason to doubt the M45’s ability to perform,
especially when you take a look at its specs. Its engine is
a 4.5-liter V8 with a class-leading 340 horsepower. This it
produces at 6400 rpm, while 333 lb-ft of torque are generated
at 4000rpm.
The M45 is a rear-wheel drive vehicle. It uses an upgraded
5-speed automatic transmission for 2004. If your hands get
restless, there’s a manual shift feature as well.
As it will undoubtedly be asked to perform, the 2004 M45
was given sport-tuned suspension. It consists of an independent
strut front and multi-link rear suspension that combine to
provide exquisite ride quality on the open road and firm,
taut handling in the corners.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
Other standard features that contribute to both the safety
and comfort of the ride are traction control and 18-inch aluminum-alloy
wheels with W-rated high-performance tires.
On the inside, the M45 is decked out with such refinements
as leather upholstery, air conditioning with dual-zone climate
controls and an interior air filter. For music lovers, there’s
a Bose AM/FM/cassette player with an in-dash 6-disc CD changer,
which can be accessed with steering wheel controls.
One of the more impressive options groups you can pick up
for 2004 is called the Technology Package. It includes a navigation
system and Nissan's Intelligent Cruise Control, which is designed
to maintain a set following distance from other traffic.
