Used 2004 Lincoln LS
Buying Guide for the Lincoln LS:
Offered in Base, Convenience, Premium, Sport, LSE (late availability)
and Ultimate trim levels, there is an impressive amount of
variety with the Lincoln LS, something not normally found
with premium models. The LS is a four-door luxury sports sedan—that
pretty much sums up the breadth of ability and style this
versatile, refined vehicle is able to offer.
Last year’s LS received a host of improvements to its performance
and comfort level, and the 2004 model aims to keep right on
upgrading. For 2004, manufacturers have enhanced the powertrain
and suspension even further and added fresh exterior and interior
colors to appeal to a new generation of luxury customers.
Under the Hood
There are two highly efficient engines spread across the
formidable fleet of 2004 Lincoln LS models. The first, available
with V6 Base, Convenience and Premium models, is a 3.0-liter
V6 with 232 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque capability.
The rest of the group receives even more kick with a 3.9-liter
V8 engine with 280 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. The
Lincoln LS is a rear-wheel drive model.
Both engines deliver power through a 5-speed electronically
controlled automatic transmission. It has been upgraded with
an added bleed hole in the servo piston to reduce reverse
engagement variation. Models with the V8 engine are fitted
with the SelectShift feature, which allows drivers to manually
command gear changes.
Standard Features, Options Packages and Style
In addition to an updated exterior front-end design, 2004
Lincoln LS also has a few surprises on the inside. Satin nickel
accents and a choice of real American walnut burl, aluminum
or black lacquer trims create an atmosphere of subtle refinement.
The new interior colors for 2004 are Dark Stone/Medium Light
Stone and Shale/Dove.
The LS has always been spacious, and the expanded center
console makes even better use of this room for storage. Leather
upholstery is standard on all LS models, and the rest of the
features pile on as you move up the model line.
Options available with the 2004 Lincoln LS include Sirius
satellite radio, heated rear seats and Lincolns’ DVD/Touch
Screen Navigation System. Sport, luxury and style: that is
the Lincoln LS in a nutshell.
