The new 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD packs the power needed
by demanding drivers. Four two door models have been developed
to achieve the differing expectations, C2500HD Regular Cab,
C2500HD Extended Cab, K2500HD, and K2500HD Extended Cab. Under
the hood runs a V8 engine, with center of vee camshaft and
300 horsepower to get tough jobs done.
Standard safety
features include ABS brakes, driver depowered air bag, passenger
depowered air bag, and side head protection air bag. For the
safety of children, a passenger air bag cut-off capability
has been employed. In addition to these basic points, a theft
deterrent system has been installed and various performance
and luxury options and packages are available.
The base model
Silverado C2500HD Regular Cab packs all the standard features
mentioned above, and has a seating capacity of three passengers.
It has five-speed manual transmission that shifts well, and
is a tough two-wheel rear drive.
