The new 2001 Honda Odyssey minivan offers two models, the
LX and the EX. Featuring 210 horsepower, SOHC, front wheel
drive and automatic transmission, the Odyssey is a powerful
and versatile drive with room for seven passengers.
High standards
in safety include ABS brakes, traction control system, driver
side air bag and passenger side air bag. Immobilizer theft-deterrent
system adds to peace of mind while away from the vehicle.
Passenger comforts
such as power windows, power rear quarter windows, power door
and tailgate locks, and air conditioning make driving a pleasure
as do the AM/FM stereo with cassette and four speakers. Drivers
will appreciate the cruise control for highway driving.
Cargo space can
easily be increased due to the convertible second row bucket
seats and the retractable third row Magic Seat, and the side
cargo net keeps items together. Passengers or cargo can be
easily loaded and unloaded through the dual sliding doors
and tailgate. Both models have a fuel economy of 18/25 (city/hwy).
The Odyssey LX
includes all the basic features with some extra conveniences.
The driver's seat is manually adjustable for height and there
are a multitude of accessories to add to the comfort and convenience
of this rugged vehicle.
Base list price: $23,900
Honda's EX takes
over where the LX left off. The driver's seat height adjustment
is 8-way power, air conditioning is automatic, and a rear
cargo net is standard. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls
adjust the AM/FM stereo with CD player and six speakers. Other
conveniences include power dual sliding doors and remote entry.
Finally, one of the key features is the HomeLink Remote System,
which gives the driver directions all over the world via satellite.
Base list price: $26,400
