2001 Volkwagen Passat Wagon

The new 2001 Volkswagen Passat Wagon blends style with versatility in three models, Passat GLS Wagon, Passat GLS V6 Wagon, and Passat GLX Wagon. Each four-door model seats five passengers, and has two-wheel front drive, DOHC, and standard five speed manual transmission. Volkswagen has emphasized safety in addition to functionality and good looks; each model has been equipped with ABS brakes, traction control, rear wiper, and front fog lights to illuminate those murky nights and early mornings. Air bags include driver side, passenger side, side impact, and side head protection. Front and rear head restraints have also been installed, and child safety locks are built in to prevent mishaps with younger passengers. Luxuries certainly have not been overlooked, as each vehicle features air conditioning, a handy keyless entry system, and cruise/speed control. Other amenities include dual power mirror, power door locks, power windows, and folding rear seats to increase luggage capacity and accommodate longer items such as kayak paddles. Each model has also been armed with a theft deterrent system for peace of mind.

The entry level Passat GLS Wagon has four cylinders, 150 horsepower, and checks in at 24/31 (city/hwy).
