2016 Buick Regal Overview:

About the 2016 Buick Regal
Buick has been progressing well ever since the makers gave the exterior a more luxurious look. They set out to compete with certain luxury sedans on their level, and so far this plan seems to be working. Some may say this has more to do with the vehicles appearance and less to do with its performance on the road. The reviews from past customers seem positive, but opinions may change due to the 2016 conversions.

The 2016 Buick Regal reverts back to the 2.4 liter engine from the 2012 model. Minor changes to the trim level makes the car a bit more appealing. An enhanced interface with Apple and Android compatibility may or may not outshine the engine reversion.

Base model Buick Regals are mid-sized 4-door sedans with many interesting features. They come with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, cruise control, and a superior infotainment system.

Trim Levels for the 2016 Buick Regal includes:

1SV - Stantard features with Intellilink system
1SL - Dual exhaust made for the turbocharged engine
Premium II (1SP) - Rear parking sensors, navigational system, Bose audio
GS (1SX) - 19/20 inch wheels, adjustable drive options, front and rear sensors
The fuel economy for the 2016 Buick Regal is currently 19mpg city and 31mpg highway. Turbocharged models with the 2.0 liter 259hp engine are averaging 24mpg (21 city / 30 highway).

Driving impressions
Drivers always admired Buick Regals for their smooth ride and silent engine. It also handles well because the steering is pretty steady for the most part. Unfortunately, the unimpressive 2.4 engine isn't the vehicle's best feature. However, the turbocharged 2.0 engine makes up for this slight flaw.
How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Buick Regal:

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Buick Regal invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost (calculated above) + Taxes / Licensing Fees - Rebate / Incentive = True Cost (You can get rebates and incentives here.)

Note: All Buick Regal Prices above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
