2016 Ford Expedition Overview:

About the 2016 Ford Expedition

Sometimes the only kind of vehicle that will work is one that can haul plenty of passengers and a trailer filled with gear at the same time. In that case, you can't just get any crossover SUV; you'll need a full-size vehicle capable of handling the work, much like the 2016 Ford Expedition can. Not only can it tow a heavy amount of weight, but it can also seat up to eight while providing plenty of storage for all necessary cargo. This year, the only real change in the line up is the inclusion of the new Sync 3 system to replace the MyFord system.

A full-size SUV with both standard and extended-length options, the 2016 Ford Expedition comes in four body styles regardless of body choice: XLT, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum. Option for the extended-length option nets you 15 extra inches of surface space compared to the base model. Each trim is available in two- or four-wheel drive configurations as well.

It is estimated that the RWD 2016 Expedition can return 16/22/18 while the 4WD will deliver 15/20/17. Opting for an extended length version reduces each number by a mile.

Although it's a huge vehicle, the 2016 Ford Expedition is a beast with an exceptionally smooth presence on the road. Other vehicles that rely on live-axle rear suspensions do not have the same luxury, and including the three-way adaptive dampers makes the ride even more comfortable on irregular pavement. It's a quality ride no matter where you go.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Ford Expedition

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Ford Expedition invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost (calculated above) + Taxes / Licensing Fees - Rebate / Incentive = True Cost (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Ford Expedition Prices above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
