Ford Price Guides::
Ford Transit 150 Overview:
A truly modern full-sized van is hard to find these days, but Ford has managed to create one in its 2017 Ford Transit-150. With more options and customizations to choose from than you can count, you’re in luck if you’re looking for the perfect truck to suit your needs.

Trim Options & Styles:

The 2017 Ford Transit-150 comes in an astounding 13 different trim options. Each of these offer different modifications, mostly centering around roof height (low, medium, or high roof), door type (swinging, sliding), vehicle size (GVWR, XL), and some combination of all of the above. That comes out to three different body types, three roof heights, and two distinct wheelbases!

Engine & Technology:

Fortunately, the engine can also be customized for the perfect ride. The 3.7 liter 275 horsepower V6 is preferred, as it is the most efficient in terms of gas mileage. However, there are also two other options. There is a 310 horsepower twin-turbo V6 for extra oomph, and a turbo diesel option with an impressive 350 lb-ft of torque is available as well. All of the above options come with a nice six speed automatic transmission.

Technology that helps out those who work hard is prevalent through the van. All four wheels have anti-lock brakes, and the wheels themselves are 16 inch steel behemoths. The best safety feature in the 2017 Ford Transit-150 is the Ford patented AdvanceTrac Roll Stability Control feature, a computer controlled system that allows the van to be more stable and more comfortable on the road than other similar van.

Overall, the Ford Transit-150 is a modern and easily usable full-sized van. While vans are intrinsically awkward on the road, the Transit feels more nimble than most similarly sized vans. Once you get used to the response from the transmission and from the steering wheel, it’s easy to feel comfortable on all types of roads and environmental situations. The option to convert the back of the van into a full 15 seats is amazing, as well as the option to use all of that space as cargo storage. Furthermore, the enhanced customizability makes this a top-tier van for 2017.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Ford Transit 150

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Ford Transit 150 invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Ford Transit 150 Prices above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
