This V6 engine block is made of lightweight aluminum alloys and hollow cylinders that improve efficiency. A Drive-by-Wire throttle adjusts the engine's mechanisms according to driving conditions.

2 Sporty Drivetrain

Featuring a Sportshift design, the six-speed automatic transmission system offers versatile gear shifting. The Sport mode is optimized for quicker acceleration on the highway. The optional All Wheel Drive (AWD) with intelligent control further enhances the sporty feel of this Acura crossover SUV. When taken for a test drive, people noted that this compact crossover SUV felt more like a hatchback or even coupe.

3 Quiet Ride

Thinsulate technology is integrated into the lighting compartments, spare tire holder and inner fenders in order to reduce noise from vibrations. A floating design in the front frame is combined with reinforced mounts that also minimize noise when this Acura is in motion.

4 Adaptive Suspension

The front suspension system has traditional MacPherson struts that minimize vertical movements of the chassis and CV joints. The rear suspension system has an advanced designed with anti-squat geometry to prevent the vehicle from excessive shaking sideways. Amplitude Reactive Dampers are engineered to absorb some of the hardest grinds and bumps on rough terrains.

5 Interior Comfort

Perforated leather seats provide superior comfort for everyone riding in the Acura RDX. Dual-stage heating elements in the front seats supplement the dual-zone climate control system. This responsive automatic climate control system is programmed to communicate with the car's GPS system in order to adjust temperature settings based on outside weather conditions. The 10-way power adjustable driver's seat has an ergonomic design with lumbar support. Additionally, this seat can be programmed to two different positions.

6 Navigation System With AcuraLink

The AcuraLink application is integrated into the 8-inch touchscreen navigation system. Real time traffic and weather information is delivered to this multimedia console. Additionally, AcuraLink offers reminders about service appointments and provides direct communication with local Acura dealers. The multimedia console includes a 15 GB HDD that can store more than 3,600 songs which could be easily synced via an external MP3 player.

7 Great Acoustics

Reasons you may not want to buy a 2015 Acura RDX - The Cons

1 Hefty Price Tag

With a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of $35,095 for the base trim, the 2015 Acura RDX is designed for drivers with a taste for luxurious features. This price point is significantly higher than most compact crossover SUVs on the market. The addition of optional technology increases the price of this Acura to over $40,000.

2 Lack of Accident Avoidance Technology

The Acura RDX doesn't have advanced digital safety monitors that prevent accidents on the road. For a luxurious model, it's surprising that there aren't any lane departure alerts or blind spot monitoring systems. Additionally, there isn't a parking assistance feature for squeezing in tight spaces. The multi-view rear camera is pretty much the best digital safety feature in this Acura. However, such cameras can be found in many affordable compact cars that cost significantly less than this luxurious model.

3 Average Braking Technology

Four-wheel disc brakes with anti-locking technology seem to be below par for a luxurious crossover SUV. Only the front 12.3-inch brakes have ventilated discs as the rear 12.0-inch brakes have solid discs.
