Underneath the hood of the Tahoe LS is a 5.3L V8 engine. It creates 355-horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, and it comes standard with dynamic fuel management technology. A 10-speed automatic that has been widely applauded for its responsiveness is paired with this engine. Trailer sway control and a variety of towing features are also equipped on this entry-level model, including a trailering receiver and a hitch platform.
Buyers can choose to swap out the standard V8 in favor of a 3.0L turbo-diesel engine if they prefer. It creates 277-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It, too, pairs with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
