Despite being on the heavier side, the Chrysler 300 with the V6 offers respectable fuel efficiency numbers. In rear-wheel-drive models, drivers will get 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Perhaps more importantly, the 300S can also add the SafetyTec Plus Group. This package is the only way to get driver aids equipped on the 2020 Chrysler 300. Included within it are popular features with drivers, including a blind-spot monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and rain-activated windshield wipers. It also adds parking sensors for both the front and the rear of the vehicle.
Compare the 2020 Chrysler 300S vs Limited Trim. What is the difference?
Choosing the Limited version of the 2020 Chrysler 300 over the 300S will mean losing the bit of extra horsepower from the V6. It does get to keep the 20-inch wheels but goes back to the black grille. One major upgrade here is the addition of LED fog lights. This is also the first trim where buyers will find turn signal integration in the side mirrors. On the driver's side, the side mirror also gains an auto-dimming function.
The cabin gets upgraded significantly when it comes to the Limited trim. For the front seats, ventilation is added to the heating feature. Back seat passengers will get in on the luxury with the heated rear seats.
Buyers will find that the upholstery is upgraded to perforated leather and the steering wheel is heated and a combination of leather and genuine wood. That steering wheel is even further upgraded with a power tilt-and-telescoping feature for easy adjustment. A memory function is also added for the driver seat positioning, something that is sure to be appreciated by families with multiple drivers.
Available on this trim level is a Harmon Kardon premium sound system. It features 19-speakers arranged in a way that it can provide a surround-sound experience. There is also a subwoofer included in this system.
Compare the 2020 Chrysler 300 Limited vs 300C. What is the difference?
Buyers will find that the headline for the 300C trim lives underneath the hood. This model gets its power from a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine. With this, the 300S pumps out 363-horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. Models with this engine also use an eight-speed automatic transmission to keep them running smoothly. Fuel efficiency does take a hit here, going down to 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
The only other trim level eligible for this engine is the 300S. Any model of the 300 that comes with this V8 is not eligible for the all-wheel-drive upgrade. The 300C gets bigger brakes to further add to the high-performance feel of this trim level. The shift paddles on the steering wheel, which are missing on the Limited trim, make a reappearance for the 300C.
On the outside, the 300C gets high intensity low and high beams. It also has a slightly unique-looking grille as the result of the metal-looking surround. In fact, there are several exterior accents that gain a platinum finish for this top-of-the-line trim level.
On the inside, the upholstery is quilted leather. Drivers will find natural-pore wood throughout the interior, giving the 300C a very high-class look. There are even luxury floor mats for buyers who opt for this model. The front console cupholder is both heated and cooled, making it ideal for any beverage.
Which Trim to Choose?
Choosing the best trim of the 2020 Chrysler 300 is not as straight forward as it is with some other vehicles. Those who value performance overall all else will want to consider either the 300S upgraded to the V8 or the 300C. While they both are appealing, the 300S has most of the performance features found on the 300C and costs less, making it a smarter buy.
On the other hand, shoppers who are looking for a well-rounded vehicle with a comfortable ride and plenty of amenities should go for the Limited trim. Although the Touring and Touring L both have a lot to offer, they lack those features that take luxury to the next level, such as ventilated front seats and leather upholstery. Plus, safety-conscious consumers can spend the extra money to get the driver aid package here, unlike on the first two trims.
For most consumers, the 2020 Chrysler 300 Limited is the way to go. Thrill-seeker will want to go with the 300S trim with the Hemi V8 instead.
