Why Buy a 2016 Porsche Cayman?

Should You Buy a 2016 Porsche Cayman? Here Are Some Reasons For and Against

An agile engine, excellent grip on the road, and smooth shifts in gears are some of the praises the 2016 Porsche Cayman is receiving from auto writers. As a mid-size sports luxury car, it packs enough power to race on the city lanes or broad highways, giving some of the luxury sport cars in its range a run for their money. As the feedback rating stands at 9.1 out of 10, it makes one eager to know just what new feature Porsche has added to put the 2016 Cayman ahead of the rest.

To be released the same year is the BMW 4-Series 2016 in several trims—one of them being a sporty convertible. The BMW has also been voted as one of the top ten sports cars to look out for, so consumers are spoiled for choice over what to buy. The big question is, does the 2016 Porsche Cayman have what it takes to be the most preferred vehicle on the list?

Going by the numbers, the BMW seem to have more juice; nonetheless, test drivers say the Porsche picks up well on the road, and the smooth shifts are quite convenient.

Reasons you may not want to buy a 2016 Porsche Cayman - The Cons

1) Pricy

For the consumer who felt a bit pressed about last year’s starting price for the Porsche Cayman, they may think twice about upgrading next year. The Porsche is also expensive compared to the BMW, which will be $10,000 less in the market.

2) Few Standard Features

Features like satellite radio and premium sound system are readily offered in most sports cars these days. Having them optional on the Cayman is something Porsche may want to reconsider.

3) Lower Power

Both BMW and Porsche spot a four-cylinder engine though the BMW trumps its rival with a higher horsepower.

Without minding the few drawbacks, the Porsche Cayman 2016 is a worthy upgrade for the price. The exterior is perfectly designed to suit a sports car; it maintains its fuel economy and packs convenient features for the Porsche Cayman fad.
