Ford Price Guides::
2018 Ford Fiesta Overview:
The 2018 Ford Fiesta is an inexpensive option for budget-minded car shoppers. Although the subcompact Fiesta is not a practical choice for growing families, it is perfect for commuting to school or work. A fuel-sipping engine and precise handling make it a pleasure to drive. If you are seeking more excitement, the high-performance Fista ST will put a grin on your face. The Fiesta also boasts one of the best interiors in its class.

What’s New for 2018?

To ensure easier parking, a backup camera is now standard on every trim. Ford also decided to drop the optional 1.0L EcoBoost engine from the lineup.

What Styles Does It Come In?

The 2018 Ford Fiesta can be obtained as either a sedan or a hatchback. When needed, it can accommodate up to five people. Although the front-wheel-drive Fiesta is not recommended for extreme winter weather, it will get the job done in most driving conditions. Aside from the manual-only ST model, all of the other trims can be equipped with an automatic gearbox.

What Are the Available Trims?

  • With a starting price of roughly $14,100, the base S model is well within the reach of most car buyers. Luckily, it doesn’t force you to go without modern conveniences. Bluetooth connectivity, a six-speaker sound system, and keyless entry are among the standard features. Producing a total of 120 horsepower and 112 horsepower, the base four-cylinder engine is a good match for the lightweight Fiesta.

  • On the mid-level SE trim, a set of 15-inch alloy wheels replace the base model’s steel wheels. You will also benefit from upgrades like cruise control and power windows. Available as an option, Ford’s tablet-like Sync 3 infotainment system rewards you with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • The Fiesta Titanium is quite luxurious for an economy car. Leather upholstery lines its cabin. Meanwhile, parking sensors help drivers to squeeze in and out of tight spots. A more powerful Sony sound system keeps you entertained on your daily commute.

  • Ford engineered the Fiesta ST to be one of the most fun-to-drive cars in its price range. It is only available as a sporty hatchback. Motivating the Fiesta ST is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which develops 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque. Sports-tuned shocks and performance tires allow the ST trim to handle especially well.
  • Aside from the base Fiesta, all of the other trims can be fitted with a sunroof and navigation. A sharp-looking SE Appearance package is available as well.

How Does It Drive?

The 2018 Ford Fiesta gets top marks for its tight handling. No other car in the segment has a more communicative steering system. Although the base engine may not scream performance, it works well for the purpose of commuting. On the other hand, the Fiesta ST delivers pure driving excitement. Great outward visibility also helps Fiesta drivers to see the entire road.

Fuel Economy

Like the majority of today’s subcompact cars, the 2018 Ford Fiesta is fuel-efficient. While manual models will return around 27 mpg in town and 35 mpg on the highway, the automatic transmission boosts efficiency to 37 mpg on the highway. Although the racy ST model can deliver up to 33 mpg, it requires premium fuel for optimum performance.

How to Calculate The Dealer Cost of a Ford Fiesta

Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:

  • Example: Base Ford Fiesta invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of all the options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
  • What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.

Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here)

Note: All Ford Fiesta MSRP, invoice and dealer cost dollar figures above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.

A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
