The Velar comes with (Intelligent Driveline Dynamics) IDD technology, which uses sensors to read the terrain, ensuring the amount of torque is delivered to the wheels, maintaining maximum traction on the road.
All available trims of the Range Rover Velar feature an 8-speed automatic transmission, which allows swift and smooth shifting capabilities.
The standard Velar is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 247HP. Land Rover, however, offers three other engine options. The 3.0 Liter supercharged V6 available in 340 and 380 horsepower, and the high performance 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces up to 550HP.
All engines are paired with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, making the car perfect for the highway and also off-road.
The luxury SUV features an elegant, sturdy, and a modern interior crafted with soft, high-quality leather and metal accents. There is ample legroom on both seating rows, comfortable accommodating five adults; even tall people will have little to no problem comfortably fitting in the back seat.

It also features stability control, which acts as an automated co-pilot and senses when the velar exceeds its handling limits and automatically adjusts engine power and braking to retain and maximize the stability of the car in any situation.
An emergency braking system alerts the driver of any potential accidents with vehicles and pedestrians ahead. If no action is taken, the system automatically applies the brakes avoiding collisions. The optional driver package comes with adaptive cruise control with added stop-and-go functionality.
This feature helps the Velar maintain a set cruising distance between you and the car in front. If the vehicle comes to an absolute halt, the velar will automatically apply the brakes coming to a smooth stop, it also automatically resumes if the car ahead does not stop for more than 3 seconds.
The 2020 Range Rover Velar, as expected, offers a smooth and comfortable driving experience for both the driver and the passengers. Formula for Calculating Dealer Cost:
- Example: Base Range Rover Velar invoice price + the dealer Invoice price of options + destination - Holdback = Total Dealer Cost.
- What is Holdback? A hidden amount that manufacturers give back to a dealer. It is a percentage of the MSRP or the Invoice price.
Total Dealer Cost - Rebate and Incentive + Taxes / Licensing Fees = True Dealer Cost. (You can get rebates and incentives here.)
Note: All Range Rover Velar MSRP, invoice and dealer cost dollar figures above are approximate amounts. Prices are subject to change without notice.
A note about rebates: Most rebates are subtracted from the "on the road" figure. In most cases, you can have the rebate if you are arranging your own financing or you are paying cash. If you decide to use the manufacturer’s low interest financing, you do not usually get the rebate. Ask your dealer for details.
